From a Facebook Page to a Lead-Generating Website: Blackstone Painting

7 MIN READ · OOLT LLC

Blackstone Painting, LLC has been painting homes in the Alpharetta area for 38+ years. Decades of word-of-mouth, repeat customers, and a solid reputation — but the website didn't reflect any of it.

The starting point

Blackstone had a website. The problem was who controlled it. The site was hosted and managed through a third party — meaning Blackstone didn't own the hosting, didn't have easy access to make changes, and was dependent on someone else any time something needed to be updated. The site itself wasn't built to convert; it existed, but it wasn't doing much work for the business.

Before

Existing site hosted by a third party. Limited control, slow performance, no clear lead capture, didn't reflect 38+ years of reputation.

After

Hand-coded rebuild hosted directly — fast, owned outright, with a dedicated lead form and the company's track record front and center.

What the rebuild actually involved

We took the site out of the third-party hosting arrangement and rebuilt it hand-coded from scratch. The goal wasn't to make it look fancier — it was to make it faster, owned, and built around one job: getting a homeowner to request a quote.

Why the "third-party hosted" problem is more common than it looks

A lot of local businesses end up in a version of this situation — someone built them a site years ago, it lives on that person's hosting account, and the business has no real control over it. Sometimes the original developer is hard to reach. Sometimes the site is technically "live" but hasn't been updated in years. Sometimes the business is paying monthly for hosting they don't fully understand and getting nothing from it.

Taking ownership of your own site and hosting isn't just a technical preference — it's a business asset. A site you control is one you can actually use.

Got a site you don't fully control — or one that isn't pulling its weight?

We can take a look and tell you honestly what it would take to fix it. No obligation, no pitch deck.
